YES!

A pre-viewing breakfast took place for a group of beauty editors- in a spacious dining room overlooking the East River -inside the United Nations building complex- busier than usual-filled with a large international group of women attending the 60th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women to focus on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Remarks from Klorane USA employees gave attendees a brief overview of Klorane Institut's sustainable development efforts worldwide-it's mission to protect endangered plant species, explore the plant world and educate local communities-and us all, really-creating an awareness of the fragility and potential of botanicals. Appropriate given Klorane's company's product line and commitment to corporate responsibility.

Next - UNESCO's Director-New York,  Marie-Paule Roudil briefly recounted UNESCO's  history and touched on some of the five program sectors of this worldwide entity including the well known World Heritage Sites preservation program, and efforts to not only encourage sustainable development but also pointing out we not only need green industries "...but also green societies."
Accordingly, the importance of changing the relationship with nature for children was mentioned as 'a must'---which also included-everyone-as in everyone needs to save the planet-not to assume someone else will.

Amen to that!
