For Douglas Hannant's Fall 2013 RTW Collection...Ed Tricomi (of the now seven salon-ed-Warren Tricomi) created a stylish pageboy for the gals---by first teasing the model's hair, section by section with a brush ---"not a comb- so it's not packed"....

love-this leather jacket

Then ---most of the hair except crown part---(as clipped---pictured below)...was gathered in a 'fake' low ponytail in order to pin underneath -in two sections ---with the resultant pouf shape---equal to the big rollers not needed pageboy from the Eisenhower era.

There was height at the top---but the hair there-as was the whole look- silky sleek smooth-including the tiny ponytail tied in the back with an elastic rubber band.

perfect shape for the hair pinned underneath---neat-not a strand out of place

tiny ponytail at back -up top-with height---but very smooth...hairspray use was so copious ---we had to leave the room for some hairspray-free oxygen molecules.

to pin underneath----actually took a lot of precision-and sometimes,  a few tries to get just right-
"This is sophisticated hair," Tricomi told us...

"It's best to keep the hair off the clothes...it (hair) is an accessory to the collection." As are the models in a way.

NARS Cosmetics---got the models looking très chic and beautiful...a realistic look "regular" females would like. Clear, matte skin---via Sheer Glow Foundation, Radiant Creamy Concealer (new product alert), and Zen Blush-topped off with Light Reflecting Setting Powder.

never ceases to amaze us how many make-up brushes are used by the pros....

Jason Hoffman-the lead make-up artist (NARS Training Executive)...went for an "updated' cat's eye  glamour of the 50's..."made modern by extending the eye liner on the bottom with a glossy lip." The shiny pout looked great with the non-shiny rest of the face. All very balanced.

For the liner---Carpates Eyeliner Stylo, Via Veneto Larger Than Life® Long-Wear Eyeliner, and Santa Monica Blvd. Larger Than Life® Long-Wear Eyeliner.

For the pouty red lips-African Queen Lip Liner Pencil, Cruella Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (used like a lipstick), topped off with Norma Larger Than Life Lip Gloss.
false eyelashes...for the ideal flirty flutter

for the eyes---Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow, Portobello Eyeshadow, Pandora Duo Eyeshadow...adds depth-eeper brown shade in the socket, subtle matte highlight with neutral/lighter shades but barely there...and neat brows-lightly powdered.

Gina Edwards-for Essie used Berry Naughty-a shiny deep bordeaux-on the nails---a color good for all skin tones, imo.
